Last night I tried to make it out to the city for a birthday party, but I couldn't find anyone to go with, so I ended up going with some friends to a club in Oakland instead. The club we went to was previously known as Sweet Jimmies's. There are places that seem to breathe the history and culture of Oakland. This is one of them.

it's like marching band off the clock
that one guy IS in a wheel chair. this was a great kind of jazz funk band. they were incredible.
